Wild Card (2015)

As is true of almost every movie with Jason Statham that I have seen, with the exception of Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, revolves around the Jason Statham character, who is Nick Wild in this movie.  And Las Vegas is the back drop against which he plays.  The seedy side of Vegas, that is.  There are some great side roles played for some great actors.
That said, I really did not much like this movie, in that everyone is really unlikable and filled with more tension than action.  Statham does all the super star fight scenes with his usual flair.  The city of lights, Las Vegas looks glitzy and grimy in equal parts, depending on where the characters are.  But I just had a lot of trouble with the struggle for self worth that the character struggles with is hard to swallow.
